How IronPreneur collects, uses, and protects your personal data when you join our waitlist or browse this site.

Last updated: 1 June 2026

IronPreneur is in a pre-launch phase. Today this site exists to share our story and let you join a waitlist. This policy reflects that limited scope and will be expanded before any paid membership or community platform launches.

1. Who we are

IronPreneur (“IronPreneur”, “we”, “us”) is a founder-athlete community in its pre-launch phase. It is run as IronPreneur, an independent pre-launch project based in Singapore, and is not yet incorporated as a company or other legal entity. For any privacy question or to exercise your rights, email us at bert@ironpreneur.com. We don’t publish a postal address at this stage; email is the best way to reach us.

Because we decide how and why your personal data is processed, we are responsible for it in the way a “data controller” is under the EU/UK GDPR and an “organisation” is under Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (the “PDPA”). When IronPreneur is later formed into a legal entity, that entity will take on this role and we will update this policy.

2. What data we collect

When you join the waitlist, we collect only what you choose to give us:

  • Email address (required), so we can contact you about the waitlist and launch.
  • Name (optional), to address you personally.
  • Audience segment (optional), for example whether you identify as a founder-athlete, an investor, or a coach/vendor, so we can tailor what we send you.
  • Your note to us (optional), a free-text field where you can tell us about the tension you’re trying to resolve. Please don’t include sensitive personal information here.

We also automatically receive limited technical data that your browser sends to our hosting and infrastructure providers (such as IP address, device and browser type, and timestamps), which is used to keep the site secure and working. We do not currently set advertising or tracking cookies. If we introduce analytics or cookies in future, we will update this policy and request consent where required.

3. Why we use your data and our legal basis

We use your personal data to:

  • Manage the waitlist and notify you about availability, launch, and updates you signed up for.
  • Understand who is interested so we can shape the community and what we build.
  • Respond to your messages and requests.
  • Keep the site secure and prevent abuse or spam.

Under the EU/UK GDPR, our legal basis is your consent (which you give when you submit the waitlist form) and our legitimate interest in operating and improving IronPreneur. Under Singapore’s PDPA, we rely on the consent you provide at the point of submission, having notified you of these purposes. You can withdraw consent at any time (see “Your rights” below).

4. Marketing communications

If you join the waitlist, we will email you about IronPreneur’s launch and related updates. Every email includes a clear way to unsubscribe, and you can opt out at any time by clicking that link or by emailing us. We will honour opt-out requests promptly and will not sell your email address.

5. Who we share data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted service providers who help us run the waitlist and the site, and only to the extent needed to provide their service. These currently include our website hosting/infrastructure provider and, when enabled, an email delivery provider. These providers act on our instructions under contractual safeguards.

We may also disclose data where required by law, to protect our legal rights, or in connection with a business transfer (for example a merger or acquisition), in which case any successor will be bound by this policy.

6. International transfers

Our service providers may process data outside your home country, including outside Singapore and the EU/UK. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we take reasonable steps to ensure a comparable standard of protection, consistent with the PDPA’s Transfer Limitation Obligation and, where relevant, GDPR transfer safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.

7. How long we keep your data

We keep waitlist data only as long as needed for the purposes above: broadly, until launch and for a reasonable period afterward, or until you ask us to delete it or withdraw consent. When data is no longer needed for any legal or business purpose, we delete or anonymise it, in line with the PDPA’s Retention Limitation Obligation.

8. How we protect your data

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and limiting access to the people who need it. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to keep these measures current.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you have rights over your personal data. These can include the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you and ask how it is used.
  • Correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Withdraw your consent and unsubscribe from communications at any time.
  • Request deletion of your data (the “right to be forgotten” under GDPR).
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and request data portability where applicable.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at bert@ironpreneur.com. We will respond within the timeframes required by applicable law. If you are in Singapore and are not satisfied with our response, you may contact Singapore’s Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC). If you are in the EU/UK, you may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. If you are a California resident, you may exercise your rights under the CCPA, including the right to know and to opt out of any sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information).

10. Children

IronPreneur is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). If you believe a minor has provided us data, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

As IronPreneur moves from waitlist to a live community and membership platform, we will update this policy to reflect new features, data uses, and providers. We will post the updated version here with a new “last updated” date, and notify waitlist members of material changes by email.
